Norwegian electronic artist Metaspion is notorious for seamlessly blending EDM with traditional folk and that's just a weird combination to even think about, isn't it?
That said, EDM can be soooo same-sy, right? Like enough with the beats and the beats and again with the beats already. Can we mix it up a little?
For this single titled "Pyros" Metaspion has enlisted the hip-hop sounds of Skam R'Tist to add some lyrical flavor.

Oh ok, this is interesting. Some hard thumping beats with a little fiddle laying right over the top? I'm into it. The rap verse starts and it's booming. Deliberate cadence by Skam, but it fits the beat so perfectly. Lyrically it's repetitive, but that's alright due to the beat being so hypnotic. It ends as it began, bringing us full-circle with a short but mighty single from Metaspion.
The beat is inventive with the violin being mixed-in so well. I wasn't familiar with Skam R'Tist but I'm a fan now and will be googling his other shit as soon as I publish this article. Dope tune that makes me look forward to what else is upcoming for Metaspion.
