Based in London but multi-national, Yossarian comes to us with a current and relevantly titled single called "Red Paranoia" from the LP "All These Fictions."
From what I understand the band has been touring for the last 2 years all around Europe and Australia promoting their first 2 records and I imagine after this current release they will start that process again. Maybe they'll even end up stateside? Who knows?
I'm looking forward to giving this one a listen.
I'll report back. I always do.

So the first impression is that Yossarian owes a lot to the influence of 80's alternative rock. In my opinion, that's a good thing. It kind of reminds of some of The Fixx's slower tempo stuff. Lyrically it's simple and straightforward which enhances the way the song comes across. It's catchy without being overly poppy. Vocally and musically this band is rock solid. A really great single that excites me to check out the rest of the album.

This is a really strong single from a really strong band. "Red Paranoia" will make you miss 120 Minutes on MTV because if it was still around this one would be in heavy rotation.
I highly recommend checking this one out if you're a fan of early U2 or The Fixx.
