Now Hear This: I Ain't Spending Christmas Alone (single/music video) - Heidi Anne

Rating: ****

Beneath the beard, the plaid, and the sarcasm, I'm a big softie. I LOVE Christmas and all the stuff that goes with it. The tree, presents, Santa, all that stuff. So color me pretty stoked to review a Christmas song and video from Heidi Anne.

Heidi Anne Burford is a singer that's been compared to Toni Braxton and Christina Aguilera and has even worked with such heavy hitters as T-Pain, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne. Dope.

I've got some hot chocolate, earphones on, and am in the holiday spirit already. I'm ready to kick it up a notch.

Let's sit back, relax, and enjoy a Christmas tune together, shall we?

We shall.

We hella shall.

Watch the music video for "I Ain't Spending Christmas Alone" on Youtube below:

We open with some lovely vocal runs before we get into the verse. First things first, Heidi Anne has a gorgeous voice with a really great range. She also does something I love and appreciate; she doesn't oversing. She really has a talent for letting the melody unfold without forcing it. The song itself is a lovely addition to the holiday rotation much in the vein of Mariah Carey's Christmas classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You". The chorus is catchy and will have you humming it in your head for many hours after the first and subsequent listens (This has happened for the last several hours). The video is adorable and a perfect visual accompaniment to the tune.

I hate to be such a Christmas music fanboy, but I really loved this. It's simple and sweet and will stay stuck in your head for way longer than you want it to. That's the sign of a good holiday jam. I'm a fan of Heidi Anne and I have a suspicion that you will be too. It's a Christmas day serving of holiday goodness. Enjoy. Highly recommended.
